Description
The GPL-MycoTOX is a comprehensive mycotoxin test that screens for eleven mycotoxins and forty species of mould from a single urine sample. Mycotoxins are toxic metabolites produced by fungi like mould, which can grow in damp environments such as buildings, vehicles, and food products.
Common symptoms linked to mycotoxin exposure include fever, pneumonia-like symptoms, chronic fatigue, memory loss, vision loss, asthma, skin rashes, depression, and liver damage. The test helps identify mycotoxin exposures and supports recommendations for detoxification treatments.
Mycotoxins are measured using liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS), providing high sensitivity to detect even low levels of mycotoxins. The test is corrected for fluid intake using creatinine correction, ensuring accuracy.
The GPL-MycoTOX test is indicated for neurological conditions (autism, Alzheimerʼs, Parkinsonʼs, multiple sclerosis), chronic fatigue, memory loss, vision loss, and liver damage, as well as respiratory and immune symptoms (asthma, sinusitis, nose bleeding, pneumonia-like symptoms), anxiety, depression, ADHD, and mycotoxin exposure from environmental sources like mould in buildings or contaminated food.
